‘A Magical Victorian Christmas’
I had a recent assignment to photograph the Old Government House at Parramatta (NSW) as part of the National Trust’s social media promotion for their ‘Magical Victorian Christmas’ event. I’ve snapped here before a couple of years ago when I had fun with some cosplay steampunk folk and ran with a ‘ghosts’ theme, you can see those shots here.
This time round I opted to use the Fuji X-T4 as the camera of choice, we were short for time and needed images turned around quickly so I felt loading the camera with some ‘filmsim recipes’ would work well. The benefit of this was I could show the client at the time of the shoot (on the back of the camera screen) the general vibe I was getting and whether we were both thinking along the same lines for mood of the shoot. In the end we ran with the Fuji Superia 1600 sim and I further tweaked the Jpgs in post to dial in the mood to clients taste.
