All This Time

Here’s a moving picture and some stills to a recent event I covered a couple of weeks ago, The Concordian’s gala event celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Concord Repatriation General Hospital.

On the night I cycled through a few different monochrome interpretations and considered colour options but for a black tie event and this venue I felt Agfa APX 400 suited very well. I derived colour versions from the RAWs for the shots that suited (not shown here). As usual my style is reportage or documentary.

As with all event work I like to weave a story. I find the word ‘story’ is overused in photography but in the instances of multiple images or a set (and especially wedding and event work) I find it’s an applicable term. Stories are supposed to have a beginning, middle and end and this is what I try to portray.

Thanks for watching/looking.
