Bec’s Garden with the Pentax F70-210/4-5.6
Written By Eddy Summers Photography
I woke up Saturday morning to quite a bit of fog around our street. I decided to take the Pentax SMC F70-210 for a walk around the block, to test out it’s performance from this old 1980’s lens. I quickly customized the image profile SATOBI in my Pentax K-1 and got snapping.
I was particularly impressed with Bec’s garden, a superb range of colours to test out the lens colour cast and rendering. Bec was also nice enough to show me the rooster that totally does not wake us up in the morning :)

I asked Bec what these things were in particular and I think she said ‘Mexican sunflowers’? I thought they were really cool looking and that orange is just a gorgeous tone.

Kettle hanging from a tree in the garden, why not.

Of course when I get back to the house I am met by this thing. Urgh.. horrid creature! :)

And here’s the lens that was mounted to the camera for these shots. Not bad for $80!
And here are the settings I used for the shoot. Remember they have all been slightly enhanced in post production, not much, 10 sec edits of some basic slider fudging.
Thanks for looking, any questions feel free to leave them below. Cheers.
