Rollins with the Ricoh

I’ve had two opportunities in the last month to flex the Ricoh GRIIIx (as opposed to other cameras I own), mainly because the evenings proceedings ended at a concert or gig (where I felt confiscations of larger imaging devices would draw unwanted attention, but that the slim pocketable GRIIIx would be ignored).

The first outing was attending Thundercat playing at the Sydney Opera House, the second (to which these images pertain) was to see Henry Rollins spoken word at the State Theatre, Sydney.
Despite being familiar with Pentax (and that the GRIIIx shares a similar menu system to thePentax K3III), it’s taking me quite some time to really figure out this camera, setting it up for ways I feel are capturing how I want and to execute quickly. A review will be forthcoming, but for now lets enjoy some photos. We start on the train and end with the act (front row seats helped! Thanks Mitch! xx).

As always any questions please feel free to ask or comment. Thanks.
